Image Renamer
The new plugin, Image Renamer, is now available in magPeople’s Store and can, as the name implies, rename image links in InDesign® documents automatically. If one or more image files can’t be found via the link from the palette, Image Renamer will find the file(s), whether they are placed locally or on another server. Afterwards it will rename them, so they appear with correct links in the document.

Re-linking images is often a very time consuming task, as this is usually done manually. Image Renamer can therefore be your time saver in the process of relinking images.
Further, it adds structure and overview since the plugin can be turned on before ordering a job from InDesign®. It also organizes and adds case numbers to all files, which make them easy to track in the later process. Image Renamer also recalls previous links, so nothing will get lost during and after the job.
Image Renamer has successfully been tested at our customer Bonnier Publications, and we would now like to share a great and thoroughly-tested plugin with the rest of the world!
The plugin is as an individual product with the ability to work together with magPicture, one of magPeople’s other solutions. An integration with CAOS is also in the development process and will be introduced later this year.
